Portland Private Equity was pleased to participate at the annual CIBC FirstCaribbean Infrastructure Conference, a major regional conference focused on infrastructure and development issues in the Caribbean. This year, the two day conference’s agenda focused on the development of airport, tourism, water utilities, energy and social infrastructure. The conference is now in its third year, after being hosted in Barbados in 2013 and Trinidad and Tobago last year. It featured international and regional investors, major infrastructure operators, rating agency infrastructure and project finance specialists, and infrastructure project advisors from the private and public sector and multilaterals. Douglas Hewson, a Managing Partner at Portland Private Equity participated as a panelist on a panel titled “Caribbean Infrastructure as an Asset Class: International and Regional Perspectives”.
