- Liberty Latin America completes its first acquisition
Portland Caribbean Fund II portfolio company, Liberty Latin America, completed its first acquisition since spinning out from Liberty Global. Liberty Latin America is a leading telecommunications company with operations in Chile, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean and other parts of Latin America. In the transaction it took an 80% stake in Cabletica, a leading Costa Rican cable operator, at an enterprise value of approximately US$250 million.
