Portland Private Equity announces chairman joins board of leading development institution

St. Michael, Barbados

Portland Private Equity, a leading private equity fund management company, today announced that its Chairman, Mr. Michael Lee-Chin, has recently joined
the board of the Trust for the Americas (the “Trust”), a development institution affiliated with the Organization of American States (“OAS”)(www.trustfortheamericas.org and www.oas.org).

The Trust focuses on capacity building programs, both for individuals and organizations.Its programs help more than 80,000 disadvantaged persons in 21 countries throughout Latin America and the Caribbean and facilitate public and private sector participation in four areas that reflect the main goals of the OAS:

  • Promoting a culture of labor rights compliance
  • Transparency and governance
  • Peace and reconciliation
  • Information communications technology for development
